About Louise

Louise Gawler is a registered paediatric nurse as well as a registered midwife. She holds an Honours degree in Child and Family Health and has studied Infant Mental Health at Monash University.

Having worked with infants and their families both in Australia and the UK for some 30 years Louise has worked with many parents in their homes as well as clinic settings to advise, educate and support parents and babes in distress.

Louise likes to keep up to date with the latest research in regards to the importance of the first thousand days, and promoting positive infant parent relationships

Louise's primary focus is the infant and helping them to adjust to their new world. Viewing the world through the infants/toddler’s eyes enables herself and clients to respond in ways that promote harmonious reciprocal behaviours, to cements relationships for life.

Louise is also a member of the Australian Association of Infant Mental Health, and The Australian Breastfeeding Association.   She is recognised as an Infant massage instructor by the Massage Association of Australia.
Louise is also a Perinatal Infant Mental Health specialist.

Louise also regularly holds seminars and workshops to professionals and parents  alike, having spoken at conferences for held by some of the world's leading professionals.

Calm Bubs is a special private service to empower families and parents to have the support they require during pregnancy, child birth and in child rearing. Not everyone is born an expert parent, and the stigma facing expectant mothers primarily, is that of "knowing". At Calm Bubs there is no need to frett. Fussy and stressed babes are why we are here, to help you be the best that you can be.
